OPEN AUDITIONS FOR THE NUTCRACKER
Momentum Dance Company presents our 20th anniversary production of The Nutcracker!
The performances will be November 29, November 30, and December 1 in the Irving Arts Center’s Carpenter Hall.
MDC will host open auditions for dancers of all ages and experience levels the morning/afternoon of
Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Baila Irving Performing Arts Academy (2329 W. Rochelle Rd, Irving).
10:00 – 10:45am | Beg Ballet, Ballet I, and Ballet II Dancers
11:00am – 12:15pm | Ballet III, Ballet IV, and Beg/Int Adult Dancers
12:30 – 2:00pm | Int/Adv Ballet Dancers
– Dancers will wear ballet shoes for barre
– Dancers who intend to audition for a pointe role may wear pointe shoes for center work
– Select dancers may be asked to stay (no later than 3:30pm) for additional choreography
Please wear proper ballet attire: tights, solid-colored leotard, fitted shorts/skirt, ballet or pointe shoes.
No baggy clothing; minimal jewelry; hair pulled into a bun.

The $25/dancer audition fee may be paid through the form or at the studio the day of your audition.

Momentum Dance Company hosts audition sessions for all of our major productions. Upcoming audition opportunities will be announced here and on our social media pages.
Mid-season audition opportunities may be scheduled at the Artistic Director’s discretion.

SATURDAY MORNING BALLET TECHNIQUE CLASS
Join Momentum Dance Company for our regular Saturday morning
intermediate/advanced level ballet technique class!
All participants must complete and return Momentum Dance Company’s liability waiver form.
Copies will be available onsite.
